Privacy policy

Inkwell CV is built to keep your CV private. Inkwell CV is operated by Bitcloudops Ltd, based in New Zealand. This policy explains what we collect and why, under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Your CV stays in your browser

What you type into the editor, including any photo, is saved only in your own browser on your own device, so your work is still there when you come back. We don't store your CV on our servers. You can delete it at any time with "Start over" or by clearing your browser data.

AI import

If you use AI import, the text you paste is sent securely to our server and to our AI provider, Anthropic, to sort it into the template. We don't keep it. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms, doesn't use it to train its models, and keeps it only for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring. If you'd rather not, skip AI import and type your details in directly.

Payments

Checkout is run by Lemon Squeezy, which sells on our behalf as merchant of record and has its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, country and payment status, which we use to give you access, send receipts and help with refunds. We never see or store your card details.

Website data

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use advertising trackers.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz). If you're in the EU or UK, you also have rights under the GDPR.
